At Comacchio X, sustainability is more than a trend, it’s a core responsibility. Since 2023, we have followed a structured path toward sustainable transition, adopting practices that maximize resource value and create positive economic, social, and environmental impact. From 2024, our commitment is documented and shared transparently in our annual Sustainability Report.

Our approach goes beyond simple compliance with ESG standards. We actively seek to advance them by integrating environmental, social, and governance principles into every strategic decision. Continuous innovation, proactive risk assessment, and forward-looking planning allow us to anticipate emerging sustainability challenges and establish internal benchmarks that exceed regulatory requirements.
To guide and reinforce our sustainability vision, we established a dedicated ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) team in 2023. This multidisciplinary group is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring all sustainability-related initiatives across the organization, including environmental stewardship and social responsibility programs.
Through a collaborative and structured approach, the ESG team ensures alignment between corporate strategy and operational execution. Their work promotes consistency, transparency, and long-term impact, transforming sustainability objectives into concrete actions with measurable results.
Reducing the environmental footprint of our operations is a central priority. We implement targeted structural and process-level interventions to lower carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and increase the use of renewable energy across our facilities. These same principles guide our product development strategy: every Comacchio X drilling rig is engineered according to circular-economy criteria, using durable, modular, and easily regenerable components designed to extend service life and reduce environmental impact.
Our commitment is further reflected in advanced surface-treatment processes, including innovative painting technologies that significantly reduce solvent consumption and volatile organic compound emissions, creating cleaner and safer working environments. In parallel, our engineering teams continuously enhance machine sustainability by evaluating diesel alternatives, optimizing energy and fuel consumption, and developing hydraulic systems specifically designed to minimize oil usage. Every technical choice is driven by a sustainability-focused mindset, delivering tangible benefits for both our customers and the environment.
Our integrated approach is validated by international certifications. We have maintained ISO 9001 for over 20 years and obtained ISO 14001 in 2024, confirming the robustness and continuous improvement of our environmental management system.
